Zendaya is not letting the cancellation of her hit Disney Channel show “Shake It Up,” slow her down. The “Dancing With The Stars” runner-up just released the video for her debut single “Replay” on the Disney Channel. The song serves as the first single from her self-titled debut album, which will be released on September 17. Award winning director Colin Tilley (Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown) directed the sleek dance video. Zendaya enlisted America’s Best Dance Crew alum and international hip hop dancer Ian Eastwood to create the choreography. She spends the first half of the video practicing dance moves alone in a dance studio. Zendaya turns on the charm like Cassie did in her “Me & U” video while keeping it age appropriate. Starting tomorrow she will be the new VEVO LIFT artist for the next 8 weeks.
See Zendaya perform this summer and fall at the New York State Fair in Syracuse on Aug. 24. The Kern County Fair in Bakersfield, California on Sept. 20. The Los Angeles County Fair in Pomona, California on Sept. 21. The Tulsa State Fair in Oklahoma on Oct. 1. The Fresno Fair in Fresno, California on Oct. 12 and the Arizona State Fair in Phoenix Oct. 25.
The almost 17-year-old will also release a self-help book called Between U and Me: How to Rock Your Tween Years with Style and Confidence on Aug. 27. The book is inspired by actual questions fans sent Zendaya from her Facebook and Twitter accounts. The $5.99 paperback or the Kindle $8.49 versions of the book are currently available for pre-order on Amazon. In addition to all that,. Zendaya has signed on to star a Disney Channel original movie based on the book “Boys Are Dogs.”
